History was made June 9th-11th 2015 when David Anson Russo set foot inside the windows of Saks’ Beverly Hills store for a three day live painting  event. This was a “first” for Saks and for Russo, as the media coverage by Huffington Post, The Hollywood Reporter, Yahoo! Finance, Bustle, Palisades Post, Topanga Messenger, all noted and spread the word nationally. Russo’s appearance in the windows of Saks was a first-of-its-kind charity event initiative for the famed retailer, to raise money for a great cause, the Little Kids Rock  organization. (Check out the great work they do: www.littlekidsrock.org). The team at Saks was the most supportive and efficient Russo has ever dealt with for a live event-thank you Robyn! Cindy Cowan, David Wish and the other amazing team members at Little Kids Rock were the ultimate charity co-hosts of the event. And we can’t thank Russo’s friends, family, and fans enough for showing up in support and lighting up his experience w/your love.  Passersby on the street in the hundreds daily were staring, smiling, pointing, waving, taking pictures, hugging Russo taking selfies with him, laughing and loving his art. And to top it off, ALL 22 pieces of the original art  and prints presented at the live auction were sold. raising a great sum of contributions for the charity. Special thanks to David Silverman, super auctioneer,  for flying down from SF to LA to support the cause.   Here are some media links thanks to the wonderful publicists for the event. We are working on editing a live video from the event for you to see-stay tuned!
